Acknowledgment
Schools Plone Skin was designed and developed on order of Haywood Community Schools, Waynesville, NC. They asked Quintagroup to prepare the skin for free distribution presenting it for the plone community. Much appreciation to Haywood County Schools and Michael S. Williams personally.
Plone Skin Schools is distributed with ZPL license.

Features and Tuning

  • Weather Portlet introduced for Plone 2.5 skin removed at 3.0 skin version
  • Schools Skin comes with static portlets School Links and Contact info. To edit the information displayed on these portlets, edit the corresponding documents, they will be added upon skin installation
  • To display page with photo and tabs as you can see here you have to switch the default view to 'document_with_photo_view' for page or 'folder_with_photo_summary_view' for folder or smart folder at 'display' menu of content management tabs.
  • Skin designed to rotate photos randomly. Photos located at folder_with_photo folder in ZMI. Photos should be uploaded without a frame. The frame is automatically added to every image. A single photo is placed into the middle of a frame on condition it is of 397px to 288px size. Otherwise, the photo can be moved.
  • A slogan under the photo can be edited, to do it - edit the document 'Type your slogan here'. To change the logo use transparent gif or png file. Preferable image parameters for a logo are: width no more than 350px, and the hight no more than 75px. In case the image size is larger than the background, it is cut.

Latest version of the skin was tested in IE 5.5, IE 6, IE7, Opera 9.24, FF 2.0.0.8, Safari 3.0.4 for Windows on windows platform.
